This clinic is dedicated to supporting women through these transitions, offering specialist assessment, practical management strategies, and ongoing care.
Please reach us at reception@adhddoctorstasmania.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes, this ADHD Doctors practice is willing to hold permits and work collaboratively with specialists for patient care. While we are currently supporting more than 300 patients in this way, each case is assessed individually, and we cannot guarantee permit holding or coprescribing in every situation. Approval can depend on regulatory requirements, clinical factors, and local guidelines, but we always aim to help when it is safe and appropriate. If you have questions about your circumstances or how this works, please email reception@adhddoctorstasmania.com.au for more information.
**ADHD Assessment and Referral Process**
You are not locked to complete all steps, you will maintain your own control over your pathway. The initial appointment will be the first step to options for your treatment.
Initial appointment – $200: This first visit is where we listen to your concerns, complete an assessment, and provide a specialist referral if needed - you can see a specialist of your choice.
Specialist assessment – up to $1,200: The specialist’s detailed report will clarify your diagnosis and provide a treatment plan. Your referral is valid for **12 months**, so there’s no need to rush—take your time with the next step.
Follow-up appointment – $180: When you’re ready, we’ll review the specialist’s report together, organise permit applications, and arrange any further tests if required. This can be done **anytime within 2 years** of your Specialist appointment or using a relevant previous specialist report in some circumstances.
The total process is around $1,800, but Medicare rebates often mean your actual out‑of‑pocket cost is lower. There’s no pressure to complete everything quickly—the process can be spaced out to fit your own circumstances and budget.
If you have questions at any stage, we’re here to help guide you through.
